The World Foods Department comodifies imported agricultural produce (frozen fruits and vegetables) and aquatic products in response to the needs and requirements of the customers and consumers. It provides the agricultural food materials mainly with regard to strawberries, mangos and blueberries and marine products such as lobsters and various whitefishes for fried foods for distribution to various foodstuff manufacturers, food service industries such as family restaurants and taverns, etc. and retailing industries such as major general merchandise stores and convenience stores, etc. The Department is regarded as a top class dealer in Japan as the matter is concerned to the food materials of strawberries, mangos and blueberries.
In commodifying the food materials the Department has applied the HACCP system from the early stage to pursue the safety and high quality of the products and is paying careful attention to cultivation method, processing method and logistics to carry out thorough quality control. The Department makes repeated market research and also provides the product materials that are developed jointly with the customers.
