In 1968, the World Gift Department began offering services to Japanese Americans and Japanese citizens living in the United States who wished to send fresh and delicious fruits of the world and luxury food items to their relatives and friends living in Japan. The center for customer orders that we set up in Los Angeles came to be used by customers from across the entire U.S. who wished to buy gifts for various gift giving occasions, such as the traditional Japanese mid-year gift (chugen) and year-end gift (seibo) giving times of the year. The service has earned a reputation as a reliable way to send fruit to Japan that has been carefully chosen by produce handlers and is delivered with no loss of flavor or freshness. The service is used by a wide range of customers.

In response to the popularity of the service, we are now offering catalog and Internet-based sales, which have generated a growing number of orders from Japanese, American, and even European, customers. We are now setting our sights on Korean American customers and are working to further expand our customer base.

Our Natumedica Department brings our knowledge and experience gained from our food products businesses together with the latest American nutritional therapies. We have been developing a healthcare consulting business that offers clients nutritional programs based on the importance of proper meals, exercise, and nutrition. Programs targeted to clients who wish to maintain their health cater in outstanding ways to the anxieties and distresses caused by lifestyle and individual health issues.

We sell vitamin and mineral supplements such as Coenzyme Q10, and have a membership service for vitamin and mineral supplement-based consulting that carefully factors in exercise and nutritional needs. We have also forged preventative medicine-related technical alliances with U.S. universities.
